Ever since the first of January, my email inbox has been overflowing with birthday freebies. So, this year, for my 22nd birthday, I decided to take advantage of as many free things as I could. So, I was pretty excited to hear about this birthday freebie! Want a free drink or treat from Starbucks on your birthday? For lunch, I decided to visit South St. Burger for the first time ever! If you subscribe to South St. I ended my special day by visiting the holy grail of ice cream — the one, the only, the Marble Slab Creamery!
To get your free birthday ice cream cone, make sure to sign up for Marble Mail 48 hours before your birthday. The only downside is that you have to buy a cone of equal or greater value in order for the birthday freebie to be valid…so, bring a friend!
I wrote this blog post for anyone who loves a good birthday freebie, so I hope you spoil yourself with all of these yummy freebies on your special day this year! In the same way that shops celebrate Black Friday, Canadian non-profit organizations rally together for Giving Tuesday and encourage Canadians to donate to the causes they care about.
Although it felt great to give back to my community, I also found it incredibly difficult to decide which organizations to donate to! Note: I realize that there are many deserving non-profit organizations that I have not included on this list.

All Mala and Me jewelry is rooted in beauty and creating a spiritual practice.
Most Malas are typically made with 21, 24, 27, 54 or beads, and each bead represents one repetition of your mantra. The Sweet Soul Mala is known to help wearers draw in more love, of any kind. Rose Quartz is known as the stone of unconditional love. It strengthens your sense of beauty and opens your heart for inner peace, positive self-love, and self-esteem.
The Matte Howlite Bracelet is known to help wearers heighten creativity and expand self-expression. Howlite, also known as white marble, is a wonderful stone for calming states of mind and emotion.
It helps to decrease an overly critical state of mind, selfishness, stress, and anxiety to bring calm and relaxation to the wearer. Its specific energy aids in communication and eases confrontations. If you are someone that wants to start utilizing prayers, affirmations, or meditations as a means to help solidify a positive outlook and to embolden the law of attraction in your life, I highly recommend investing in a Mala and using it as a daily self-care tool for your soul. A huge thank you goes out to Mala and Me for partnering with me this month to promote self-care for the soul through daily mindfulness and mantra!
I encourage you to join me in practicing self-care at least once a week during the month of March.
